28 Newport Street, Swindon is a development of 9 apartments arranged into two blocks and a commercial unit located in the heart of the Old Town area with bars, restaurants and specialist shops, a short walk from the main town centre with amenities such as theatre, cinema, restaurants and department stores. Station Approach where the rear two coach houses are located is so called as it was the approach road to the original Swindon, Marlborough and Andover Railway station boasting through services from the north through to the south coast. The station closed to passengers in 1961 and freight trains conveying materials for the construction of the M4 motorway continued until 1972 when the line was abandoned.
